The Strength and Conditioning program that follows has evolved over the past decade. I, along with NAAC Head Coach and Faster Swimming founder Brad Burget, have come to the conclusion that faster swimming is dependant on quality efforts in the pool, great mechanics, and a solid strength and conditioning program. The strength and conditioning program that follows is designed to facilitate superior force production and work capacity, while preventing injuries from coming into play. This manual, this plan, is the strength training piece to that puzzle. This exact weight training plan, coupled with our “Weekly Dryland Workouts,” helped to produce a National Age-group Relay Record, State domination, and a zero injury rate.
